LMS Electrical Contractors can assist with electrical emergencies for all residential and commercial properties.
On 23 March 2020, President Ramaphosa announced that The National Coronavirus Command Council has forced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days with effect at midnight on Thursday March 26, 2020.
The purpose of the 21-day nation-wide lockdown is necessary to fundamentally disrupt the chain of COVID-19 transmission. It will prevent the spread of the virus, and save lives of South Africans.
Worker exempt from the lockdown include those involved with the production, distribution or supply of food and basic goods. Electricity supply, water and sanitation are considered essential services, which means that LMS Electrical Contracts can still attend to most electrical emergencies that happen during the lockdown.
During the lockdown, we can assist with:
Tripping distribution board
This is when your circuit breaker or earth leakage protection device is tripping due to a faulty appliance or faulty damaged cable or breaker.
Buzzing or humming circuit
This could mean that the breaker is being overloaded , carbon build up inside the circuit breaker, lose connection or an indication that the breaker potentially needs replacing.
Smoke, fire or strange smell
If you experience any of the above, you need to isolate your electrical feed from the outside supply urgently.
Faulty geysers or stoves
If your geyser or stove isn’t heating up or tripping the power, we can assist you with these repairs.
We can help you with these electrical matters after the lockdown:
Installation of a generator or inverter
No new installations are allowed during the lockdown, including uninterupted electricity solutions.
Rewiring your house
This would not constitute an emergency under the Disaster Management Act, is is excluded.
